Competition Rules and Requirements

Eligibility to Participate

  1. Age and Grouping: This competition is open to young science photography enthusiasts worldwide. Participants must meet the following age group requirements by the submission deadline:Junior Group: 12 – 17 years old and Youth Group: 18 – 25 years old
  2. Eligibility: Participants can be students (middle school, university, graduate students, etc.) or young professionals who meet the age requirements. Staff members of the competition organizing committee and their immediate family members are not allowed to participate.
  3. Team Participation: Teams are allowed to participate, but the team size must not exceed 3 people, and a primary contact must be designated during registration. The team’s age group is determined by the oldest member.
  4. Contestants agree: Contestants must ensure that their submissions do not violate any laws or regulations and do not contain any illegal or prohibited content. Contestants shall bear legal responsibility arising from their submissions.
  5. Intellectual Property: The copyright of all entries remains with the original author. However, once all participants submit their works, it is considered that they have granted the competition organizers and affiliated entities a global, free license. The organizers have the right to use the works for non-commercial purposes such as promotion, marketing, exhibitions, publication of catalogs, and online displays related to this competition, without additional compensation, while clearly attributing the author’s information.
  6. Disclaimer: The organizer shall not be held responsible for any submission failures, delays, or losses caused by reasons beyond the organizer’s control, such as network issues, transmission problems, or submission system errors.
  7. Right to Interpret Rules: The final right to interpret this competition belongs to the organizing committee. The committee has the authority to adjust the event rules based on actual circumstances and will announce any changes separately.

Your work must meet all of the following conditions:

The theme is closely focused

The work must revolve around the core theme of 'Science, Technology, and the Future,' such as the microscopic world, astronomical wonders, technological progress, environmental changes, and imaginations of future cities.

Originality

The entries must be originally shot by the participant and must have full copyright. Plagiarism, unauthorized use, or having someone else shoot on your behalf is strictly prohibited.

Work Specifications

Allow appropriate adjustments to color and contrast, but excessive post-processing that composites, adds, or removes key elements is prohibited. Please keep the original photo files for verification.

Complete information

Each work must indicate a title and include a brief description (within 100 words), explaining the story behind the work, the scientific principles, or future concepts.

Schedule and deadlines

Call for Submissions | 2025

The competition registration channel is officially open, and submissions are now being accepted.

Deadline | 2026

The registration system will close on time, and late submissions will not be accepted.

Review Phase | October 1, 2024 - October 31, 2024

The preliminary and final evaluations are conducted by a jury composed of internationally renowned scientists, artists, and photographers.

Results Announcement | November 15, 2024

The list of award winners will be announced on the official website and official social media platforms, and winners will be notified via email.

Online Exhibition and Awards | December 2024

Hold an online virtual exhibition of the award-winning works and an online awards ceremony.
